In 2016, the Gasteig Cultural Centre in the heart of Munich became the new home of the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE. The venue, which is well-known far beyond the borders of Bavaria, combines a spacious foyer and exhibition space with perfectly equipped auditoriums that are ideal for the animago conference and festive awards ceremony.

Munich’s creative and cultural community gathers on a regular basis at the Gasteig, which happens to be Germany’s largest and most successful cultural centre. Last year our animago AWARD & CONFERENCE was proud to become one of the over 1,700 events taking place at the venue each year.

In more concrete terms, it means we make up over 1,000 of the Gasteig’s more than 1.8 million visitors annually. Indeed, over the course of several days, we transform the venue into a site devoted to animation, visual effects, visualization and design. We use roughly 950 of a total of 3,500 seats in the auditoriums known as the Carl-Orff-Saal (COS), Blackbox (BB) and Kleiner Konzertsaal (KK) for the animago CONFERENCE and also fill up a good portion of the attractive exhibition space with our animago EXHIBITION.
