Crailsfelden is a truly wondrous place. Surrounded by a dark enchanted forest, lots of magical creatures frolic here.
At the heart of Tim Trageser’s fantasy comedy is a weird teenage trio: a vampire who can not see blood, a fairy with fear of flying and a werewolf with animal hair allergy.
Already before the theatrical release, VFX supervisor Andreas Frickinger and lead compositing artist Jan Burda give exclusive insights into the genesis of the VFX in the movie „Die Wolf-Gäng“. The special challenge of the project was the enormous variety of effects.
In order for the magical world of Crailsfelden to emerge with all its magical creatures, magical arts and locales, the Mackevision team worked on some 200 VFX shots – which could not have been more different. Above all, this challenged the creativity of the artists again and again.
